I have seen a ton of bible art journaling posts that center on the disaster reeked by Hurricane Harvey in Texas and Louisiana this week. I can feel the love that people are feeling toward these families who have lost so much to the rising floodwaters. I wasn’t sure I was going to create one. As I started studying Philippians 2, all the memories of this past week collided with Paul’s words to the church at Philippi. I realized that we were seeing this passage illustrated beautifully in the lives of those affected by Harvey.

Here is how it turned out…

I used an outline of Texas to create the white space while I watercolored in two shades of blue and purple. I created an accordion folded tip-in of images from Hurricane Harvey and the shining servants who helped others in the middle of tragedy. Here are the PDF’s for the tip-in and the Texas outline.

Here is what I used to create this page…Simple Right?!?

And here is the whole process…

Thanks so much for watching! Now it is time for you to jump in and create and play in the word of God yourself – Go!

Blessings,
