#3: Satisfies the Thirsty – Psalm 107:8-9
Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love
and his wonderful deeds for mankind,
for he satisfies the thirsty
and fills the hungry with good things. Psalm 107:8-9
Something Beautiful #3: Satisfies the Thirsty – Psalm 107:8-9
God uses beauty to satisfy our souls sometimes. We lean into His presence, bringing our hunger and thirst to Him.
“for he satisfies the thirsty
and fills the hungry with good things.” Psalm 107:9
Chamomile Tea
Chamomile flowers are both beautiful and useful. They are famously made into the tea which is known worldwide as inducing relaxation and calm.
When we are feeling anxious or unsettled, we can steep a cup of tea. However, even better is steeping in God’s Word and His presence.

Steeping
Jesus refers to this as abiding in Him.
“Remain in me, and I in you. Just as a branch is unable to produce fruit by itself unless it remains on the vine, neither can you unless you remain in me.” John 15:4
One way we can abide in Him is to relax into His presence and let it satisfy us. We can respond to Him with gratitude.
“Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love
and his wonderful deeds for mankind,” Psalm 107:8
The Path of Gratitude to Satisfaction
Focusing on how God provides food and drink for our souls and turning to Him in gratitude leads to peace and joy. Setting our minds on Him and coming into His presence with grateful hearts even when our circumstances are uncomfortable or our emotions are negative is a path to satisfaction in Him alone. Let’s drink deeply of provision for us today!
Action Step:
List five things you can be grateful for right now. They don’t have to be big things, even small things will work. Come to God and offer your gratitude. Steep in his presence and feel His peace flood your soul.
